Great value on the CineBloom

I was looking for a diffusion filter and the CineBloom was on sale, so I decided to try Tide Optics for the first time. Got a pretty decent discount, which made it feel like a good deal. The filter arrived in about 8 days. The effect is subtle but noticeable. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Consistent quality, reliable shipping

Another solid order from Tide Optics. I grabbed a fixed ND filter and a lens cleaning kit. The ND8 filter was just as good as the CineBloom I got last year. Shipping took about a week to get to me in California, which is typical. Always a good experience.

Good filters, delivery a bit slow

I ordered a circular polarizer filter and a filter pouch. The CPL itself is really good, clear glass and the rotation is smooth. Packaging was secure. My only minor issue was the delivery time; it took 10 days to reach Texas, which felt a bit long compared to other online stores, though it did arrive within their estimated window. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking. Overall, satisfied with the product's quality and value for the price.

is there always a first order discount available? or is that just sometimes?

S Sophie V. 3 months ago
Pretty sure there's always a first order discount if you sign up for their newsletter. That's how I got 10% off my first purchase.

Yeah, I think the newsletter signup discount is always active for new customers. It's usually 10-15% off, not bad!

are there usually any big sales around spring? like for landscape photography season or anything?

J Julia Hughes 2 months ago
They often have seasonal sales, yeah. I remember seeing something around April/May last year. Keep an eye on their newsletter.

They definitely do spring sales sometimes. Not as big as Black Friday maybe, but still decent discounts. I'd sign up for emails, that's usually how I find out.

Anyone know if you can stack a student discount with, say, one of those influencer codes? trying to get the best deal on a few filters.

T Troy Okafor 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. I tried it last Black Friday and it only let me apply one.

I've never had luck stacking codes with them. Most stores don't allow it, so I'd assume not here either. Just pick the better discount.

thinking about getting the CineBloom, but also looking at some from Moment. anyone tried both and have thoughts on which is better?

D Dana 2 months ago
I have the CineBloom and love it, gives a really nice bloom effect. Moment's are good too, but I feel like the Tide Optics has a slightly softer, more organic look.

Moment is great, but Tide Optics is really stepping up their game. For diffusion, I prefer the CineBloom over Moment's stuff personally, just feels a bit more refined for video.

hey, trying to figure out if these filters are actually glass or some plastic stuff. like, if i drop it, is it toast?

A Amber F. 2 months ago
Yeah, they're glass. I think most good ones are these days. Mine feels pretty solid.

They're definitely glass. I saw it mentioned somewhere on their site. Probably still break if you drop it from too high, but not like cheap resin.
